I would like to introduce myself – Mrs Charlotte Dix, as the Head of Year 9. I have been Head of Year for 12 years and I am also a teacher of English. I began with my year group in Year 7 and I will follow them through to Year 11. This enables me to lead the year group throughout their academic life at Bryn Hafren.
As a pupil in Year 9, your daughter will flourish in supportive surroundings as we encourage and monitor her to ensure she reaches her full potential. There is very much a focus on high standards and high expectations; for behaviour and engagement with learning. We also encourage and nurture a passion for new challenges. We pride ourselves on creating a positive atmosphere of belonging where each pupil feels a valued member of the Bryn Hafren family. We have established a partnership with the pupils of Year 9 with a joint responsibility for developing academic, emotional and social skills. Our vision is a generation of women who have the ability to make a difference in the world!
